چکیده
Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is a proven technology in the field of waste heat recovery and present days ORC extensively being used exploiting biomass, geothermal solar energy. The overall performance depends on expander, making it core component system. Generally, these expanders are classified into velocity type displacement type. find their applications large scale power generation not preferred small as rotational speeds exponentially increase with decrease expander output. As result, best suited for ORC. Yet, till date capable producing at commercially available market application. an effect scroll compressors modified to work systems. study aims examine feasibility using one such compressor without modification. A test rig was developed running reverse compressed air, before after modifications. machine tested operating conditions consisting pressure varying from 0.5 bar 4.5 load 0.2 kg 2.2 constant airflow rate. configurations were, suction port inlet, inlet discharge inlet. Based experimental data obtained observed that, all three configurations, various loading given air there exists maximum point further has negative Also, significant speed 300 4250 rpm no condition increasing pressures. Maximum 210 W achieved 1.1 when Finally, recommended use gives more compared other same conditions.

Experimental Testing of an Organic Rankine Cycle with Scroll-type Expander
An organic Rankine cycle (ORC) is a power cycle employing an organic working fluid. The term ORC is also applied generally to any Rankine cycle with a low-grade heat source (80° – 300 o C). Because ORC are often employed in small-scale applications, use of positive displacement equipment is favored over the centrifugal units used in large-scale power plants. A key feature of a positive displace...

The Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) heat engine constitutes a very promising technology to recover waste heat (for instance from industry or from internal combustion engines) but also to exploit renewable energy sources (such as solar, biomass or geothermal energy). This seminar will emphasize how modeling and simulation tools could be used during the design stage of an ORC system in order to best ...

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Experimental and Thermoeconomic Analysis of Small-Scale Solar Organic Rankine Cycle (SORC) System
A small-scale solar organic Rankine cycle (ORC) is a promising renewable energy-driven power generation technology that can be used in the rural areas of developing countries. A prototype was developed and tested for its performance characteristics under a range of solar source temperatures. The solar ORC system power output was calculated based on the thermal and solar collector efficiency. Th...
متن کاملPerformance and design optimization of a low-cost solar organic Rankine cycle for remote power generation
Recent interest in small-scale solar thermal combined heat and power (CHP) power systems has coincided with demand growth for distributed electricity supplies in areas poorly served by centralized power stations. One potential technical approach to meeting this demand is the parabolic trough solar thermal collector coupled with an organic Rankine cycle (ORC) heat engine. The paper describes the...
